George Makris, Co-Founder of OrthoTiN, has more than 30 Years of Experience in the Orthopedic Industry as a Design and Process Development Engineer, Director of Engineering, Director of Manufacturing and as an Independent Technology Consultant specializing in Ceramic coatings, Orthopedic Implants and Instrumentation. With extensive background in orthopedic implant design and specializing in Ceramic Coatings, OrthoTiN has the goal of bringing the Femoral Resurfacing Total Hip Replacement System to the US market.

OrthoTiN to date has been self-funded. Current operations include custom device design and manufacturing. Concurrently OrthoTiN has compiled the basic design elements and analysis of the implants and instrumentation for the Femoral Resurfacing Total Hip Replacement System. We are now ready to move to the second stage of development to compile the full Device Master Record and run the necessary Device Testing, Process Validations, and implementation of the Regulatory compliance Quality Systems so as to file for FDA clearance.
